Excel Facts

What is the fastest way to copy a formula?
If A2:A50000 contain data. Enter a formula in B2. Select B2. Double-click the Fill Handle and Excel will shoot the formula down to B50000.
Hi Desmond,

normally Excel will allow you to overwrite any cell, unless it is specifically protected, or has Data Validation that isn't being met. Can you give any more information?

-write a text into any cell
-reduce the height of the cell so you cant read it anymore
-the text will be cut off at the bottom of the cell - so you'll see only half of it

-->can it be made that the text will overlap to the cell below ?
