Hi,

Is there a specific evet or method that will run when a recipient is added to "To:" field?

What I am trying to achieve is, if recipient is john@doe.com then, display a msgbox says "are you sure to add this contact?".

Something like this.. Thanks a lot!

Excel Facts

Formula for Yesterday
Name Manager, New Name. Yesterday =TODAY()-1. OK. Then, use =YESTERDAY in any cell. Tomorrow could be =TODAY()+1.
VBA Code:
Option Explicit

Private Sub Application_ItemSend(ByVal Item As Object, Cancel As Boolean)
    Dim Recip As Outlook.Recipient
    Dim MailItem As Outlook.MailItem

' Ensure the item being sent is a mail item
If TypeOf Item Is Outlook.MailItem Then
        Set MailItem = Item

        ' Loop through recipients
        For Each Recip In MailItem.Recipients
            If LCase(Recip.Address) = "john@doe.com" Then
If MsgBox("Are you sure you want to add this contact?", vbYesNo + vbExclamation, "Confirm Recipient") = vbNo Then
                    Cancel = True
                    Exit Sub
                End If
            End If
        Next Recip
    End If
End Sub

Paste the above in the "ThisOutlookSession" module. When sending the email it will ask if you want to include that address.

Ok, thank you very much for your time.
There is no chance to check in the instant that you add, huh? If not, then I will use your code.

I did considerable searching and was not able to locate anything that would allow one to receive an immediate response. Although there maybe
a means of doing so ... it didn't show up in my searching. Merry Christmas
