hello,

i need your advice on how to create a rule in outlook 2007: i need it to do the following : whenever i flag a message with a specific cathegory (let's say the red cathegory) i need the mail to be moved to a specific folder.

do you think it would be possible to design a rule to do this?

regards,
neveu

Does the VLOOKUP table have to be sorted?
No! when you are using an exact match, the VLOOKUP table can be in any order. Best-selling items at the top is actually the best.
Yes you can design a rule that if a message is assigned to a specific category to move it to a specified folder. It is under Tools-->Rules and Alerts, then creat new rule and go through the Rules Wizard, step one for select conditions(s) has an assigned to category one. At least in Outlook 2007 which is what I have.

Hope that helps.

hello,

i've also seen that option there but the problem is that the rule only aplies if i manually run the rule [run rules now option] after i asign the mail to the specific cathegory.

i would like outlook to move the email to the folder once a assign the cathegory to it os something similar that wouldn't imply manually running the rule

is that possible

Unfortunately I wdon't know too much about coding in outlook, but it seems like you could maybe have a macro run the rule, but again I have never done it or looked to see if it was possible.
