Best way to learn Power Query?
Read M is for (Data) Monkey book by Ken Puls and Miguel Escobar. It is the complete guide to Power Query.
You could do something simple like this to prompt for the folder and mark all items as read:

Code:
Sub MarkRead()
    Dim fld As Outlook.MAPIFolder
    Dim obj As Object

    Set fld = Application.GetNamespace("MAPI").PickFolder
    For Each obj In fld.Items
        If obj.UnRead Then
            obj.UnRead = False
            'obj.Save
        End If
    Next
    Set fld = Nothing
End Sub
[/code]
