I'm working on a law school exam outline in Word for a class in which the professor has limited us to twenty pages. The outline mode is a godsend, but it forces blank lines between each item on the outline. Is there any way to get rid of these blank lines? I've tried selecting all text and then format --> paragraph --> spacing --> single, but it has no effect as it thinks everything is already single spaced. When I turn on the show/hide marks button, the blank lines show up as tiny squares on the far left side between each outline item (i.e. they don't show up as paragraph marks or anything else I could just manually remove.)

Any help would be much appreciated.

Excel Facts

Add Bullets to Range
Select range. Press Ctrl+1. On Number tab, choose Custom. Type Alt+7 then space then @ sign (using 7 on numeric keypad)
Figured it out. Select all text, go Format --> Reveal formatting, click the blue indentation link on the panel that opens on the right side, and adjust the spacing before and after to both read "0 pt." Voila!
