Don't ask me why we still have an old Access95 Database laying around, but we do.

I recently upgraded my WinXP Dell to 2GB RAM (cad station) and ever since I cannot open the Access95 database because of a "Out of Memory" error.

I have tried every sort of compatibility mode, and short of ripping a stick of RAM out of my computer, what other things should I try.

I have been to the MS Knowledge base already and searched your fine site, both to no avail.

I'd appreciate any response you may have, as now I have to use a coworkers computer to access the information I need on a daily basis.

Thanks

Can you AutoAverage in Excel?
There is a drop-down next to the AutoSum symbol. Open the drop-down to choose AVERAGE, COUNT, MAX, or MIN
I've seen a lot of Out of Memory errors caused by MS Office products that have nothing to do with the hardware part. I to have found nothing on the MS site. I think it has to do with some form of file corruption or code compatability between versions.. We'll get old Excel files that have been upgrades over the years that will give a memory error, If we can copy the data to a new work book they start to work(for a while) Dont know how big your Db is but maybe you could export it out of the old and into 2000. We had an old 95 DB that we actually had to export to excel then into 2000.
Good Luck..
