We switched to 2007 a while ago and the macros I made for various sections in our company continued to work OK. This week I have see something happen twice that is concerning.
When I get a call that says the buttons I created don't work, its usually because they didn't get the word about re-enabling the macros. Normally that's a easy fix.
Twice this week, when I go into Excel option and drill down to turn them on... All the options are grayed out and I can't change them to enable.
When I load the spreadsheet we get the Options button below the ribbon and we can enable them there, I just can't set Excel to always have them enabled.
Some spreadsheets are in the 2003 format (and work fine). Some are saved in macro enabled format.
The options are grayed out even if I don’t have my spreadsheets loaded but rather a blank spreadsheet. This leads me to believe it’s not my spreadsheet, but rather something in the excel program.
Any ideas on what I can do? Is there a setting that needs to be flipped back? Maybe something at the admin level?
Thanks for any insight.
