I have a relatively simple database that I want to set up radio buttons on the form for *Positive *Negative *Not Tested.

What field type do I use to for the table? Or is this kind of like a bound object thing? Is the data saved in the table for that specific field then.

Does any of this make since...I may have the West Nile Virus so my brain is slow...yeah, that's the ticket!

Can you sort left to right?
To sort left-to-right, use the Sort dialog box. Click Options. Choose "Sort left to right"
I would just use a simple number field and set the values of your radio buttons to match which everway you decide to number the options.
