Hi there, I've got two columns B & C.

A B C D
140% 140% 78% 78%

B corresponds to A and C corresponds to D. At the end of the day I want to have both B & C to have 100% or more by moving a maximum of 30% from A to D. For example the minimum I require to move B to more than 100% I need to reduce A by 22% and increase D by 22%

Results are as follows.

A B C D
140% 118% 100% 78%

If more than 30% is required then B or C would say "NA"

I've got like a thousand of these numbers to run through. So is there like an easy formula that somebody can think of that I can just drag and it'll do that for me.

Do you think i need to macro this? if so. How?

Thanks in advance

Excel Facts

Which lookup functions find a value equal or greater than the lookup value?
MATCH uses -1 to find larger value (lookup table must be sorted ZA). XLOOKUP uses 1 to find values greater and does not need to be sorted.
Hi. This might well be do-able with simple formulas, but I just don't understand the logic behind the numbers.

I've read and re-read your post but I can't make sense of the logic.

For example, you say you "...need to reduce A by 22% and increase D by 22%".

But in the "RESULTS", A and D are unchanged, and it looks as if you have moved 22% from B to C.

Can you explain the logic really clearly please ?
Also, can you give us maybe half a dozen DIFFERENT examples of this data, and say what should happen with each of them ?
