OPENOFFICE HELP - Macro question!

OPENOFFICE QUESTION!!!!

I would like to record a macro to copy data from cells C4 to Z4 on my workbook, then to open an existing workbook and paste the data into the next blank cell.

I have tried this macro using the recorder doing the following steps -

- pressed record macro
- copy section I want to copy
- ctrl open to open the new worksheet
- ctrl - end
- home
- arrow down (to move to the next blank cell)
- then back to the original sheet to press stop recording

Once this is complete I assign the macro to a button and once pressed you can see it copies the section but nothing else happens. I know the macro works on the same workbook as I have tested the above switching from tabs but cannot get it to work to open a different workbook.

Please can someone help???
