opening multiple word instances.

hi,

up until a few days ago, if i had a document in word open, and then opened a second document, word would open up a second instance and i would have both documents apearing in the task bar. now when i try to open that second (or third, or fourth, or eighth) document they all stack in the same instance of word.

any ideas on how can i fix this? its driving me nuts!!!!

Tools\Options\View - check the box for "Windows in taskbar"
