Hello,

I'm having issues opening xl 2010 files. If I open xl > Files > Open, then the workbook opens fine.

If however I click on the workbook icon in a folder to open a workbook and xl 2010 together, everything just hangs.

Any ideas for a solution please?

Prevent GETPIVOTDATA. Select inside a PivotTable. In the Analyze tab of the ribbon, open the dropown next to Options and turn it off
Thanks for that I'll have a look at it... My issues may be due to subscribing to Office 365 and downloading the applications to my hard drive...

I want to keep Office 2010 until I've come to terms with 365. I'm wondering if my issue is not removing 2010 before downloading 365...

If you prefer 2010 to open when you double-click a file in Explorer, run the 2010 installer AFTER you've installed 365.
