Excel 2007. Trying to create a report workbook that pulls data from other source workbooks, but I would like to be able to disseminate the report workbook to other networks without including the source workbooks as they are massive.
Current setup:
I am having the report workbook pull data using formulae from the source workbooks using direct references.
The problem:
Removed source workbooks, then opening report workbook gives error: "This workbook contains one or more links that cannot be updated."
Known unacceptable solutions:
I know this error can be suppressed by manually setting Excel options for current user, or by including VBA code in the workbook (which requires the current user to allow to run).
My question:

My question:
- Is there a method to disable this popup from happening on any computer for which this workbook is opened neither requiring interaction of the user nor using VBA?
- Or, is there an alternate method to generate this report workbook that would not result in such an error? (VBA would be okay for the one time generation.)
