is there a way that if i enter 10 or 15 records per day, so back in the table i will have record with date. i have on more field in the table, that field is going to capture only default fix value of 6.
so back in the table
date Hours fixfield
10/12/04 - 1 - 6
10/12/04 - 2
10/12/04 - 1
10/12/04 - 1.5
10/12/04 - 2

10/13/04 - 1 - 6
10/13/04 - 2.5
10/13/04 - 1

so basically doed not matter how many records i enter per day, but i want only fixvaluefield (6) once per date,
any idea how to do that.
thanks in advance

Hi,

is this question related to this question? If so, it was answered there.

In answer to this question, you can't have one default value (of 6) for one date where you have many operator hour entries for that date. You can either calculate what you want as per your other question, or you have a default value of 6 for every item in the operator hours table (by adding another field to the the table and giving it a default value of 6). There are other ways but we won't go there yet.

HTH, Andrew. :)
