On Update code!

right, can someone help me! Ive got a yes/no check box whether a person would like their membership renewal to be updated, on this being clicked the 'Renewal Date' Should be updated one year. Iver got this code but it is not working. Please help.

Private Sub Has_the_membership_been_renewed__AfterUpdate()
If "Has the membership been renewed?" = "Yes" Then

Renewal Date = DateSerial(Year) + 1, Month, Day
