Hello all of you,
I'm putting the finishing touches on my project and I'm wondering if there is a way to show the switchboard when I open my DBase.
The way things are presently is that the forms show on open and I have to click on the switchboard in order to show it.
If it's not a big deal I would prefer to see the switchboard on open.
Many thanks

Also am I really limited to 8 buttons or is there a way around this limitation ?

OK so I found out how to show the switchboard on open thru "start up"
any ideas on my limitation to 8 buttons ?
Is it possible to program one of the buttons to "call" a second switchboard?

Whoa ! found the answer to that one too... for those interested in the answer here is the link:

How to fill five years of quarters?
Type 1Q-2023 in a cell. Grab the fill handle and drag down or right. After 4Q-2023, Excel will jump to 1Q-2024. Dash can be any character.
Hi Nick

Yes you can open the switchboard via the startup option. There is however another way by creating an autoexec macro within your database. By using an autoexec macro, you can do more than just open a single form (that is, if you want to do more than just open a single form). A macro with the name 'autoexec' is automatically run whenever the database is opened.

Regarding the 8 buttons, no you are not limited to 8 buttons on a form. If you go into the form design, you can add as many buttons as you like.

HTH, Andrew. :)
