Can someone please tell me about the usages of the offset command in the context of filtering data and summarizing based on links or control buttons?

Excel Facts

Can a formula spear through sheets?
Use =SUM(January:December!E7) to sum E7 on all of the sheets from January through December
The OFFSET function returns a reference to a range that is offset a number of rows and columns from another range or cell.
quote: Ms Excel

Offset, does not have attributes related to filtering, summarizing, etc... like above, it is a means of referencing.

Not what you are looking for? Or is there a code you are confused with?
