Given the push for Office 365,
should we still push for developping traditional PC-based Excel solutions, based on VBA or VSTO?
Considering the time I invest in traditional xl solutions (for my own job and some collegues), I am little bit afraid that all this time will turn up as a waste of time. Not to mention my investment in learning VSTO, of even buying VS.

Should I continue such a job, or should I go for organic farming? ;)

Thanks for telling here your own feelings,

Michel

Excel Facts

VLOOKUP to Left?
Use =VLOOKUP(A2,CHOOSE({1,2},$Z$1:$Z$99,$Y$1:$Y$99),2,False) to lookup Y values to left of Z values.
People who use the Office 365 apps in a browser won't be able to use any VBA in the workbooks. It will, however, work in the desktop version.
Given the amount of business logic and process embedded in VBA applications, MS would be committing marketing suicide if they killed VBA. I'd say your job is safe.
