Hi! Does anyone know of a easy way to fix my current problem. We were using Office XP before and now we made the jump to Office 2010. We had a folder on our server which each computer was mapped to before. From each PC, we could see this folder. Now, in Excel 2010, we can't see the mapped folder. We can take the long way around to get to it and we can see it. When I open the folder, which contains several linked workbooks via formulas. Does anyone know how to correct this problem? I have a folder which contains over 1000 workbooks linked via formulas. I need an easy fix.

The folder now contains documents which do not appear to be excel files and can't be opened with excel.

One of the messages I get is about loss of fidelity.

Thanks for any help.

Excel Facts

What is the fastest way to copy a formula?
If A2:A50000 contain data. Enter a formula in B2. Select B2. Double-click the Fill Handle and Excel will shoot the formula down to B50000.
I simply just mapped the folder again and it works.....how crazy is that.

Thanks anyway!

Well, glad that your problem is solved now but just to let you know, in case it happens again. Most of the time version upgrades on Microsoft products is kind of nuisance. A newer version can always open an older version’s files but an older version can’t at all open a newer version’s file. It might have been a different file format and all you need to do is open the files that you wanted to run, and save into a different file format.
