Office 2010 32 bit on a 64bit

I have a new laptop which has a 64bit processor. I just realized my office 2010 is for a 32 bit. I crunch a lot of numbers and it has been locking up on me a lot. Can this run correctly or do I need to get a 64 bit?

Office 32-bit will run fine on a 64-bit machine.
In fact Microsoft still recommends that you do so:
Choose the 32-bit or 64-bit version of Office - Word - Office.com
If you are having problems, it could be for other reasons - perhaps memory or the formulas that you are using? Have a look at the 'Excel Pages' at the following for possible ideas:
