Just received all new Office 2007 software to install. Normally this would not be a problem. But I understand there are some major changes to 2007. I will be the only one probably to upgrade (within statewide organization - thousands of users) that will have this upgrade possibly for several years (most have recently upgraded to 2000 from 97!). What I want to know is if I install will those sheets, db's, etc be readable by 2003, 2000?

TIA

Hi

As I understand Excel 2007 (and the other Office 2007 programs) uses a different file format and these files can't be read by 2003 or earlier releases without a file converter which would have to be installed on machines running earlier releases. You can still save files in Office 2007 programs in the earlier format as long as you remember when saving to click on the 'Save as Type' box and select the file type you want.

Hope this helps

Any particular reason you're changing, other than "Because it's there"?
