I need help with a Word question. Is there a way to make a cell in a Word table update when a cell in an unconnected table in the same document changes? Does anyone have any suggested reading on this question? Thank you!

Hi Brian at ML,

Well, maybe sloppy, I created two tables, on page 1. Both were different from each other.

In the first table in A1 I wrote the word John. Selected John, Click Insert Bookmark again Typed John for the bookmark name.
In teh second table cell B2 Click Insert Bookmark, be sure that your on Place in the Document tab. Then I chose the bookmark named John, click OK

The word John came out in the second table, and in addition, CTRL+clicked on it took me to the first table cell A1 where John was originally written.

hmmm

Hope this gives a start,
Paul

HI John

Pretty neat, but what's needed is any text, or change in text in the first cell to update in the second cell.
