Odds of picking 3 numbers from 6 drawn in a standard 49 number lottery

Ive been trying to figure out how to calculate this in excel for a long time but it's way beyond my math abilities.

Trying to work out the actual odds of success in the following.

Lottery has 49 balls
I choose 3 of these numbers
6 balls are drawn.
I need my 3 numbers to be within those 6

I keep ending up with Hypergeometric distribution when searching the web but, as i said. this is way beyond my skills.

I'd be very greatfull for any advise, or a pointer in the right direction to solve this.

There are COMBIN(49,6) possible draws. Given any three numbers, there are COMBIN(46,3) draws that contain all three of those numbers.

So you have a COMBIN(46,3) / COMBIN(49,6) = ~0.11% of correctly choosing three numbers that all appear in the six numbers drawn.
