I use an odbc connection to pull SQL tables in excel. I am having difficulty doing VLOOKUPS on these tables with my own created excel data. I can change the format but thats only a temporary solution. Once i refresh that table I get N/A's.

Any insight?

Excel Facts

Which lookup functions find a value equal or greater than the lookup value?
MATCH uses -1 to find larger value (lookup table must be sorted ZA). XLOOKUP uses 1 to find values greater and does not need to be sorted.
Do the type conversion in the first argument of your vlookup instead. SO suppose your SQL returns text values and your VLOOKUP first argument is numeric, you could do:

Code:
=VLOOKUP(A1&"",SHeet2!$A$2:$C$100,3,FALSE)

Ok that works right.

But once I need to do any VLOOKUP on that result? There are several sheets that are going to be interconnected, how can I solve this?
