Hi

I have some general questions concerning the ODBC conection.

I have connected to a Data warehouse through Access ODBC connection for some ad hoc data querying

1) is there a limit to the number of rows I can pull
2) I am experiencing quite a few Spool Errors when trying to querry off different table, is there a way to minimize the occurence of these error
3) what is the best way to get to my data it seems that query off the ODBC connection take quit a bit time should I make a copy of the table I want to query and query those and not through the ODBC connection

Thx

Dan

How to calculate loan payments in Excel?
Use the PMT function: =PMT(5%/12,60,-25000) is for a $25,000 loan, 5% annual interest, 60 month loan.
no ideals on 1 & 2, but for 3 you could check and see if the fields you are querying are indexed or not on the server. That makes a big difference in time . If you dont have controll over the parent DB then perhaps importing your query into a temp table and index the fields you want would be best. I would create a temp table, so you dont have to keep going out and requerying.
