I get this error message when I try to open a from from a db on a users machine. Works fine on my machine.

ODBC-Call Failed
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]SELECT permission denied on object "INV_NMPHY", database "Institute", owner 'dbo'(#229)

INV_NMPHY is the table name
Institute is the db in SQL Server

If I install a system DNS will that correct the problem on the users machine?

Excel Facts

Add Bullets to Range
Select range. Press Ctrl+1. On Number tab, choose Custom. Type Alt+7 then space then @ sign (using 7 on numeric keypad)
It may be that the user in question does not have sufficient rights on the server in question. Check the user's rights on the server, and adjust as needed, would be my first guess.
