Numeric Field Overflow error

I have a make-table query in an Access database that uses a linked Excel spreadsheet to create a table. This query is part of a macro which updates the database.

Each time I run the macro it falls down on this one query, giving the error message 'Numeric Field Overflow.' However, the query runs correctly as a select query, and if I then change the query back to a make-table and run it on its own it works correctly.

Does anyone have any idea how I can get round this. While the query does run correctly, it is inconvenient to have to keep stopping the macro and running this one query manually.

Thanks in advance.

Excel Facts

Square and cube roots
The =SQRT(25) is a square root. For a cube root, use =125^(1/3). For a fourth root, use =625^(1/4).
This error arises most commonly when there are issues concerning the formatting of numbers as text or vice versa. Or perhaps you have Null data (neither numeric zero nor text "")
