Hi,
I have a list of numbers that I have been inputting into a column. The problem I have been encountering is due to the different numbers being entered into each cell. I have data with numbers from 6 to 14 characters long. I have tried to format the cells with; general, numbers and custom each of which giving me incorrect data when I click out of the cell.
Numbers: gives decimal place
General: won't take the longer numbers
Custom: inputs leading 0

Can someone please tell me how to format the column?

Excel Facts

Control Word Wrap
Press Alt+Enter to move to a new row in a cell. Lets you control where the words wrap.
You can use the number format & set decimal places to 0

I'd say your best option would be formatting the cells as numbers and reduce the decimals to 0.
