Hi

I have a column of dates with the end of the year top, going down to the start of the year at the bottom. I'd like to count the number of occurrences of a letter in the next column using countif. However, it displays the occurrences 0,1,2,3, whereas I'd like to see them 3,2,1,0. Is there a way to display them as they occur during the year, or will I just have to change the date order?

Thank you

Is this an Excel or a Google Sheets question?

I ask because you posted this in the "General Discussion & Other Applications" forum instead of the "Excel Questions" forum (which is where Excel questions typically go), though you made no mention of Google Sheets, and the answers are not always the same between the two programs (so it is important for the responders to know which one you are using).

I put it in the title. Numbers

Sorry, I didn't realize that was the name of the program you are using (we rarely get "Numbers" questions).
I thought it was more of as description of what you were trying to return.
