#NUM! #Num! Can someone explain what this error is?

I'm importing an Excel Sheet into Access.

The wierd thing is I can type something in Excel Cell for instance my name and it will show in Access field table. but....

When i enter a number in the cell in the Excel Sheet it shows #NUM! in the field in ACCess. it is not importing the Excel data into Access field. ONly when the cell is not used by another cell. (function)

The name cell in Excel is not using any function but the number i insert in excel cell is used by another cell. (function)

Can someone explain??? please.

It sounds like you're liking the spreadsheet to the database.
During imports and links, Access 'guesses' as to the correct datatype for a given column (field). If you type in something that doesn't match that guess, it appears as an error message when viewing within Access.

At least, I think that's what you're getting without actually looking at it.
