I have a table counting results from football games and am currently using =IF(D45=H45,"T",IF(D45>H45,"W","L")) to determine the result. (which works well)
The problem i am having is that the sum counts the blank cells as a T.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated

Hi & welcome to MrExcel.
How about
Excel Formula:
=IF(OR(D45="",H45=""),"",IF(D45=H45,"T",IF(D45>H45,"W","L")))
