Normal Chart from Pivot Table

Hi,
I have some simple data and I wish to create normal charts from summarised pivot table data. I use pivot tables as the data is a few 1000 rows long and they are convenient. I can add 2 columns from the pivot table to a normal chart series without referencing the pivot table headers fine. As soon as I try to move one of my series by pressing a move row/column buitton, the NORMAL chart turns into a PIVOT chart without me wanting it too. Is there any way to stop pivot charts kicking in? If not, is there any other way to easily summarise a few 1000 rows of data so that multiple normal charts can be created from it, your ideas would be most welcome.
Thanks
Paul

You could convert the pivot table to static data with a copy/paste special, or you could use GETPIVOTDATA formulas to extract the data to a normal range of cells and then build the chart off that. Other than that, you just have to be very careful as to what you select and how when creating normal charts from pivot tables.
