Hi<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>

I am using the Noldus MatMan software for matrix manipulation and analysis (run through Excel) and I'm wondering if anyone can help me. In this program you create a matrix of (for example) agonistic interactions between monkeys. I am aware that you are supposed to score the winners of interactions, not the losers. My question is: if your focal animal is the winner of an aggressive interaction it is easy to score them as the winner in the matrix. But if your focal animal is the loser of an aggressive interaction, do you then score them negatively as the winner, or score the non focal as the winner (even though they were not the focal)?
I hope this makes sense to someone out there!!
Thanks for the help!
