How can I.....

From workbook1 open the first workbook (no matter what the name is) in directory X.
copy value in a1 and b6, paste it to a1 and a2 in workbook1

Open next workbook (no matter what the name is) in directory X
copy value in a1 and b6, paste it to a1 and a2 in workbook1

Do the same for each workbook in directory X.

Possible?

Excel Facts

Can you AutoAverage in Excel?
There is a drop-down next to the AutoSum symbol. Open the drop-down to choose AVERAGE, COUNT, MAX, or MIN
copy value in a1 and b6, paste it to a1 and a2 in workbook1

Since you're over writing a1 and a2 with each iteration, why not just open the last workbook in the directory and copy/paste the cells?

Cheers,

tonyyy
