Newby needs help!

So I'm brand new to Access - we all had to start somewhere! - and I am after splitting text to columns.
[UserName] = (Last Name), (First Name) with the comma/space as the separators
I need to be able to show Last Name in column of same name; and First Name in column of same name.

What is the most reliable way to do this as a beginner?

Use the SPlit() function

However do not have field names with spaces in them. That will just incease your workload and errors. Use a _ if you must split them. I myself would use CamelCase
FirstName, Surname,LastName
