I have created a data base table from an excel worksheet. I have a form which I can use to alter values in the table. How can I get the same changes to appear in the original excel worksheet ?
I know this is pretty fundamental but I too am pretty and fun and mental!

Excel Facts

Quick Sum
Select a range of cells. The total appears in bottom right of Excel screen. Right-click total to add Max, Min, Count, Average.
A quick method is - instead of importing the excel spreadsheet, link to it instead. When you do the File-Get External Data menu item, choose link instead of Import.

Thanks - as with all my access progress that was a bit of a conceptual leap but I'm there now. Thanks again - your help madeall the difference!

You shouldn't have any (many?) issues with this as long as you do not have both the xls and mdb open at the same time. Some fields may not display properly (error) depending on what assumptions Access makes when linking. Never checked but I think you can apply an import template (off Get External - Advanced button) to control how it chooses to link the fields.
