Hi,

Apologies for the newbie question, no real experience of Power Bi - using Power Bi as the customers preference to blend multiple data sources/tab;es, in this instance CSV files and SQL output.

The CSV lists Virtual Machine hostnames and the HyperVisor Host they reside upon, and the SQL out has a table that lists the network status of host.

I need to create a new table which lists the DISTINCT list of Hosts, count of VMs per Host, and then Network status for the host from the SQL data.

Any help gratefully received, many thanks in advance

How can you turn a range sideways?
Copy the range. Select a blank cell. Right-click, Paste Special, then choose Transpose.

Resolved with the use of Create Table, Columns, "LOOKUPVALUE" and COUNTROWS - plus more understanding as to how Power BI collates data, very interesting
