I am very comfortable with Excel - but just starting to play with Access.

At work I have been tasked with moving an Access db to a different server. The creator of this db is reachable, but no longer works here. When I copy both .mdb files to a new directory - i get this message "..\\(server name)\(database name)\(query)' is not a valid path....' This db is fairly large with ~30 tables, ~30 queries, and hundreds of macros. Even though i am really new to Access, I can assume there are too many links to the back end db for me to hunt and peck for.

Is there an easier solution for moving a db over to a different directory or even to a notebook (i want to take it home to reverse engineer and play with it)?

Any suggestions would be helpful.

Excel Facts

Why does 9 mean SUM in SUBTOTAL?
It is because Sum is the 9th alphabetically in Average, Count, CountA, Max, Min, Product, StDev.S, StDev.P, Sum, VAR.S, VAR.P.
After you move both DBs to a new server/folder, open the front-end and go to Tools-Database Utilities-Linked Table Manager (or Tools-Add-ins-Linked Table Manager in Acc97). Re-link your tables to the back end using this. If you can't get it to work, let us know what you tried and what happened.
