New small business owner needs an accrual spreadsheet

Hi. When I did a Google search, it said MrExcel had a good accrual spreadsheet, so I joined and I would like to know whether anyone could share one with me. Very simple, receivables, Payables, some expenses. Thanks!

Your description is a bit vague and generalized. What exactly are you looking for? I understand you want some receivables, payables and expenses. Are you looking to track these for accounting or in lieu of accounting?

Sorry about that. I want to produce a document for my accountant, so its in lieu of. It would show him what we are doing. Is that enough information?

In that case since it is a report to your accountant, I would do one of the following...

1. discuss with your accountant and generate an excel document that you both agree on

or

2. use one of the templates available through excel.

if 2 then

1. Open an excel workbook
2. File
3. New
4. In the search box type in "Payables" there is a good ledger template there.
5. repeat for "Receivables"
6. repeat for "Expenses"

this will be easier than trying to find someone that has a simple spreadsheet to offer.
