Hi,

When using a Form in Access which is set to 'Continuous Forms' view, a new record is automatically created when you type something in the previous record (if that makes sense). Is there any way that i can stop this from happening?

Also, when using a subform within my main form, is there any way to limit the number of records that can be created in the subform??

Thanks in advance,

Will

Excel Facts

Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.
This is not a new record that is being created.

As for the second question, perhaps you could explain what you are trying to do further.

I know its not a new record as such, but is there any way to stop it doing it?

My second question is: I am creating a database to hold information about ship cadets. I have a subform within my main form which contains information about the college courses they have been on (one-many relationship - one cadet has many college courses).

As there are only a maximum of 8 courses which they can go on during their time as a cadet, I was wondering if it was possible to limit the number of records which could be created in the subform (for each cadet) to 7??

Hope this makes sense.

Thanks
