New line with VBA on rows and merging new line

Hi everyone, I have a limited understanding of VBA but IM learning as I go

The following code adds a new row at a given point (Based on a fomula in a column returning "1")
The code works well BUT
I want to merge this new row from column A to coulmn M
Im not sure how to do this, (I dont want to merge the entire row)

Example Code:

Dim Lastrow As Long
Dim I As Long

Lastrow = Range("A" & Rows.Count).End(xlUp).Row
I = 1
While I <= Lastrow
If (Len(Cells(I, "R")) <> Len(Replace(Cells(I, "R"), "1", ""))) Then
Rows(I & ":" & I).Insert Shift:=xlDown

'Need code here to merge new row from A - M please


I = I + 1

I = I + 1
Lastrow = Range("R" & Rows.Count).End(xlUp).Row

Add this line:
Range(Cells(I,"A"),Cells(I,"M")).Merge
before the line:
I=I+1
