Hello Everyone,
I apologize for the slowdowns. As you know, we had 2 CD projects in the works. Both were late, which sucked, because I had people's money and no CD's to mail. Both CD's took all of my focus for the last few weeks. I am glad to report that they are done, INCREDIBLY AWESOME, and all of the pre-orders have shipped.
The board is horribly slow. Here is the plan: I am going to lease a dedicated server. Life will be crazy for about a week. We are going to pick a day (maybe this weekend), and move all 105,000 messages on that day from the old server to the new server.
I will then post a temporary address to the new server. I will want everyone to stomp on the new server as hard as possible for a couple of days to PROVE that it is faster than this one.
Once we are sure that it is, then we will switch DNS to the new place.
The HASSLE: once we move the 105,000 messages, and until DNS is changed, any messages posted to this board will be lost. It is a couple o' days of pain, but I think it will make for a much better board.
Hang tight, we will be in a better place one week from now.
