Hi,

I have an excel sheet with a whole heap of functions in each column, and when I insert a new column I'd like to have the functions automatically populate the new column without having to drag the rows into it individually.

Is this possible?

Thanks :)

Excel Facts

Select all contiguous cells
Pressing Ctrl+* (asterisk) will select the "current region" - all contiguous cells in all directions.
If you were inserting new rows, I believe that if you use tables, and were inserting new rows within your table, it would do this automatically (because it assumes that each column in the table uses the same formulas). However, if you are inserting a new column, there is not formula in that column for it to copy/autofill. I am assuming that you want to copy the formulas from the column to the left of it, is that correct?

If so, the only way I can think of to do this automatically is to use VBA. If this is acceptable to you, please provide the important details, such as:
- How exactly are you inserting new columns? Are you actually using insert, or just doing something to an existing blank column?
- Are there any header rows that you do not want to be copied over? If so, what are they?
