This sounds like a browser setting (which browser you said?), there is nothing that will "show up" your password in forum applications (as in my knowledge) but cookies as you know that will remember your login information automatically to relogin without asking you information.

When you login to the board (with "remember me") and close the explorer, then next time you opened it, it still asks you for the username and password?

After clearing the cookies as I explained above, it still acts like this then shall we also try adding www.mrexcel.com as trusted source?

See? This is not happening to me, so I am assuming it is something else.

Re: "Remember Me "

Russ, we haven't had such an issue for weeks of testing, nor at our other site that uses this. In other words - i don't think its a setting on our end. It's an issue on your end. Sounds like it's not remembering field entries.. which is a browser setting. But the fact that it doesn't remember you between session - that's a cookie issue. Are you sure you cleared out your cookies? Are you sure all your settings are set to allow field memory? Often, if I *think* i have cookies allowed for a site.. i turn on the "prompt me" - and lo and behold, there's a cookie, for some strange reason, that wasn't getting accepted.

Provided you are using Internet Explorer - try checking the "inline AutoComplete" option under Tools --> Internet Options --> Advanced Tab --> under the title Browsing --> check "inline AutoComplete" :)

The new "New Board" so far seems to be better at remembering that I've logged in. On the "Old Board" and only at work, not at home, I constantly had to re-log in almost everytime I clicked on something. It was terrible, so I waited until I got home to post stuff.

So far, I haven't had that issue with the "New Board" (-:
