nested if formula

I am stuck on a formula and hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I am creating a field on a training matrix and want to look at putting formulas in a couple of cells.

If the original cell says O/S in want the destination cell to say O/S
If there is a date in the same original cell I want the destination cell to add 1 year

In another formula I would like to create a nested if with these criteria
If the date in the original cell is over 2 years ago I want the destination cell to say n/a
If the date in the original cell is between under 2 years ago I want the destination cell to say O/S

I just cant seem to get it right can anyone help?
