I'm trying conditional formatting and I want to see the formula of a set cell as text in another.

The conditional format of the cells is based on a number of AND/OR commands and I need to see how different actions effect the cell and understand the minor tweeks to the formula.

is there a non-VBA tool to allow this?

Thank you

Which Excel functions can ignore hidden rows?
The SUBTOTAL and AGGREGATE functions ignore hidden rows. AGGREGATE can also exclude error cells and more.
Or, use "Text to Columns" built-in function

1] Assume formula cell in A1, copy and paste A1 to B1

2] Select B1 >> "Text to Columns…" >> click "Delimited" >> next >> next >> in step 3 of 3 choose "Text" >> Finish

this worked well, under Excel 2010 I found under FORMULAS, WATCH WINDOW and it is resize able. I used this for troubleshooting my conditional format
