Need to retain dupicate rows delete unique

A little backwards but I have a parts list with duplicate part numbers in column a and other misc. info in other columns. What I want to do is delete the rows that have a unique part number in column a but retain those part number rows that have duplicate part numbers. There might be 2-4 duplicates for a part number.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi ronnyg

A couple of options for you

first try putting the data in a Pivot Table and filtering out anything showing only 1 incidence

second use a formula like =COUNTIF($A$2:A2, A2) and copy it downthen filter and delete anything with a 1 next to it.

oops sorry. I set this project aside and forgot that I did what was suggested on Thursday but now have all duplicates which is good but in column e I have the supplier name. What I know need to do it retain those duplicate part number rows that exist with only one of each from e. There are only two suppliers. Example below.

Part # Supplier
678 Acme
678 Acme
678 Baker
679 Acme
679 Baker
679 Baker

In the above example, I would want to retain a-c-d-e or b-c-d-f. Either would be fine.

Use a helper column and concatenate the part and supplier then go from there
