I have a proposal for heating and air conditioning systems, on some proposals the rows are blank, sometimes they have entries, I only want to print the rows if there is something in that row, and only if the rows are in a particular range.

I searched this topic, but couldn't find this particular twist....

Thanks,
Rick

Excel Facts

What do {} around a formula in the formula bar mean?
{Formula} means the formula was entered using Ctrl+Shift+Enter signifying an old-style array formula.
What you need to do is use the AutoFilter feature (Data->Filter->AutoFilter) and then filter out the blanks. You may have to select your entire table prior to enabling AutoFilter, so that Excel doesn't treat a blank row as the end of the table.

Hi thanks, I tried it but it appears my estimators have to do that manually on each and every proposal before printing. Do you know of a way to have it done automatically?

Thanks again,
Rick

You can just record a macro, and then adapt it for whichever reports you're running.

Are we looking at one column in particular? If so, which one?

... and only if the rows are in a particular range.
Can you give some more detail here?

I guess we really just need more detail about your layout, what is in your sheet and just what needs to be hidden when printing.

How many sheets in the workbook?

Is this printing requirement particular to certain sheet(s) in the workbook? Which one(s)?
