Need to learn how to program VBA/SQL. Books suggestions?

Hello!

Currently, I need to learn more about SQL; particularly in what concerns interaction between Excel and an Access database.

I need to know how to connect to the DB, how to be able to create tables in it, how to obtain complicated reports with SQL; all this in Excel VBA, using forms too.

Any advice on books? You can even suggest academic books, please!

A book that I have is "Learn to Program: Databases with Visual Basic 6" that covers VB connections to Access. VBA is basically a subset of VB6, so learning VB certainly wouldn't hurt! The book came with (I believe) a learning edition of VB6.

Integrating Excel and Access (Michael Schmalz, O'Reilly Press)
Advanced Excel Report Development (Timothy Zapawa, Wiley)

The first is useful for understanding how to create connections in code between Excel and Access. The second has, among other things, a very detailed explanation of the MS Query feature which you can use to pull data into Excel from Access.

There are others, but I have these and recommend them
