I have a few questions for those who use Excel in a professional environment or those who consider themselves Excel proficient.

 1. Why do you consider yourself to be an Excel expert?
 2. How do you keep up with the latest developments in Excel?
 3. How do you find if something new is going on in Excel?

Excel Facts

Why are there 1,048,576 rows in Excel?
The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.
Hello, I use excel in my everyday work so thought I'd answer your questions.
1. I consider myself to be an expert in excel based on two things. The first is peer reflection, in that, 99% of my peers think what I do in Excel/VBA is pure wizardry. The second is that, even if I don't know how do something in Excel, I am normally able to find out using the right questions on the internet. I would say that an expert doesn't need to know all the answers immediately but they are able to locate and put into practice their findings.
2. I don't really keep up with the latest developments. I receive a task to do (at work) and I try and find the most logical/quick way of doing it. If that involves a new feature, then so be it. Looking at threads on this site gives me lots of information.
3. This is much like the previous questions and I'm not sure how to answer it differently.

I have a general rule in Excel that almost anything is possible.
